Garbage that method, I did that once, pulled the elastic and the bead came up on to the Dacron because it wasn’t tight enough around the knot - better to thread the bead on the elastic using a diamond eyed threader tie a knot and use the Dacron on the knot…

Some anglers speak like they never went to school to learn physics or chemistry they drum into us interlectuals that braid is superior to mono and that braid has far superior bite detection. Rope,string,wire,braid or mono when in a straight line in water tow does not register better than the other,once each has levelled out under pressure they are the same it is the law of physics and molecules,the same force is always applied. Bite registration is through the paternoster link not the line and all lengths vary! If you are using a bolt rig then braid must be used as you are connecting with the bolt weight before connecting to the fish but bounce can lose you fish. As for accuracy it's all down to the person who is casting or who is striking the football towards the goal or who is more alert.

Hi Will great videos bit of advice I am looking for a no 4 section for my Dawia ZR5 16 pole would you know what Mandrel pole section will fit it I have the older SR1 and SR3 poles which unfortunately do not fit. All the Best Bill J

I use this method on a Preston ICS xl method feeder,have modified it the same but my eleastic isnt as tight,will retighten it so it cuts through the bag.

Always knew that you would make a good life in the angling industry. I was there with my young daughter the day a very young Will took what must have been a dream fulfilling win at the browning masters beating all the top rods of the day. He fished an absolute blinder on what I remember was a very hot day, fishing tight to the far bank with chopped worm and a bit of caster if my memory serves me right. After all it was a bloody long time ago back in the mid nineties. I can still see his face beaming with pride. We had a great day and to top it off my daughter won the raffle and still has the browning rod holdall she took as her prize, which went down well as it left all the booze for the runners up. I did try to pick for her but she was having none of it!

Will, We get a lot of anglers using the Paternoster rig now days. But not one explains "why" why use this over a running rig, or a normal feeder with a stop bead, why? Is it just a fad, or does it have a purpose please Will?

I've seen Will grow up from a kid at a similar age to me to become one of the best in the world. All that gear doesn't just come from 'having the dosh' but working very hard to stay at the top of your game and with that comes sponsorship and match wins which all helps. People like Will don't have many secrets and are only to happy to share what makes them so successful. Great series of videos! 🎣

Yeah must admit that I've stepped up my mainline as my old man convinced me as like he said he's sick of losing his gear in snags and I suppose it makes sense. There is also a lot of difference between the type of mainline some have totally different memory,sink and stretch. I use Maxima and it's under rated but a tried and tested line. 👍

Great method, love doing that myself. It can get boring playing fish on a pole sometimes and this is so much fun. Shame more don't try it. Tight lines !
